In year two of the webinar series, NIDA will host a second webinar focused on collaborative research on expanding access to hepatitis C prevention, testing and treatment among persons who use drugs within the criminal justice system.

Presentations will include:

• Hepatitis C in the criminal legal system: Using a health systems framework to understand challenges to and opportunities for elimination | Dr. Matthew Akiyama, Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine

• Hepatitis C testing and treatment in Louisiana: A model for national hepatitis elimination | Dr. Risha Irvin, Johns Hopkins Medical School

A round-table discussion will follow with comments from:

• Dr. Frederick Altice, Yale School of Medicine and Public Health

• Dr. David Thomas, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine
