Summary and objectives
Objective: Identification of HCV infected blood donors for micro-elimination.
We are recruting anti HCV positive blood donors and running PCR on them. All those who have active infection we refer for treatment using sofosbuvir and Daclatasvir at the regional centres. This wil curb the spread of HCV to unfected persons.
The project began in June 2019.
