Liudmyla Maistat is the Policy and Advocacy Manager with the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP). She has more than 15 years of experience of working in viral hepatitis and HIV policy, advocacy and access to medicines. Liudmyla is a member of the World Health Organization Strategy and Technical Advisory Committee on viral hepatitis, the WHO guidelines’ development and peer-review group as well as a member of the Lancet Commission on Accelerating the Elimination of Viral hepatitis. She is the former chair the Hepatitis C Group for Unitaid’s NGO delegation and continues to serve as a member of the HIV/viral hepatitis and TB in Europe Steering Committee as well as on various organizing and scientific committees of other international conferences and events related to HIV, viral hepatitis and access to essential medicines. Liudmyla was recently recognized by the Economist as one of the leading voices for advocacy to increase access to affordable diagnostics and treatment of viral hepatitis.
