Hepatitis Program Managers and Clinical Care Provider: Participate in New Survey on “Hepatitis Elimination in the Recovery Phase of Pandemic"
The Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination (CGHE) is releasing a new survey to understand how investments from the COVID-19 response can be leveraged for hepatitis elimination.
The response to the COVID-19 pandemic profoundly impacted public health and clinical care systems. In the early stages of the pandemic, the diversion of health care resources and patients from in person care resulted in large declines in hepatitis testing and care services. In 2020, CGHE conducted a global survey to generate evidence on disruptions in HBV and HCV testing. This survey found that disruptions were experienced by 8 out of 10 care providers. In parallel, the respondents in this 2020 survey identified several aspects of the COVID-19 response that potentially improved hepatitis care or could lead to improvements in the future. CGHE is seeking to better understand these findings as the world moves into the pandemic recovery phase.
This new survey is designed for participation from Hepatitis Program Managers, Clinical Care Providers and Heads of Major Laboratories from around the world. The initial screening question will direct the participant to the relevant questionnaire which will take 10 – 15 minutes to complete.
The survey can be found at the link below. The link will be open starting July 28, 2022 up until September 30, 2022.

The results of the survey will be used by the Coalition to build the case, through research and advocacy, for how opportunities and resources generated by the COVID-19 pandemic to create more equitable and resilient health systems can be leveraged to eliminate viral hepatitis.
