The objective of the evidence base is to disseminate the best available information to promote the implementation of effective HBV and HCV prevention, testing, and treatment interventions to achieve elimination goals. The evidence base is a repository of systematic reviews on priority topics, such as hepB birth dose, hepatitis action plans, and HCV testing. The evidence base is a searchable database of the individual references identified in each systematic review. Synthesis briefs that summarize the key findings and implications of each systematic review are available.
To help digest the rich Hepatitis B Birth Dose evidence base, we developed a synthesis brief. In this brief, you can find the list of references in the evidence base and an overview of their findings on effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the birth dose, as well as a summary of the barriers to implementation and mitigating solutions described across the articles.
